71 C6 modulator

I thought the modulator was leaking so I thought i'd switch it out. When I got it from NAPA the guy says "you need to adjust this screw to the place". There is this adjuster at one end of the modulator but I have no reference point to go by. If I take off the old one is there a full tight or full loose position where it will screw to? Is there a number of screws in as the standard spot? What do I need to know to get it right?

Install it and take a quick spin.

If the shifts are too low and soft turn the screw in a couple of turns.

Contrary to popular belief it ain't rocket science.
