Brakes...need replacement advice
Truck has 52,000 miles, the rotors are not smooth, they have ridges, deep ones, and the pads are getting thin. It doesnt stop as well as it should and they squeek.
What else is there to the brake job aside from putting new rotors all the way around, and new pads all the way around? I figured i could do this much, and if for some reason there is another problem, i can go to the brake shop from there. Do the pads just snap on/off?
Also, where do i go for rotors and pads? Brands??
Thanks!

I have had good luck using loaded calipers to redo the brakes on my old '80s Fords. Loaded calipers come with the brake pads already installed on new or remanufactured calipers. It is a quick way to get all new brakes. Your truck is relatively young with low miles so new brake pads on your old calipers will probably work fine.
Ford used several different rotors on the F-150 depending on whether the truck had ABS (antilock brakes), 4WD, etc. New Raybestos rotors start at $11.62 (rotor without hub). I recommend looking at the part descriptions and pictures in the www.rockauto.com catalog (hit the MORE INFO button for pictures) to find the rotors and other parts that match what is on your truck.
