69 crewcab springs different sizes???

Group

with my 69 now down to a rolling chasis and getting ready to be sand blasted and rebuilt, I noticed that the front leafs are 3"'s wide
while the back are smaller maybe 2.5 or 2 1/4, only measured the fronts but the rears are deffinetly smaller. Was there
a reason ford did this??? Also the rear springs have 10 leaves
and the front have 7 leaves....does this sound correct??
the crew is a 69 f-250, are other f-250(non crew) built the same???

Joe,

I think your springs are correct. I have a 67 F250 4x4 crew cab and it has 6 or 7 leafs in front and 9 or 10 in the back. The fronts are 3" wide and the rears are smaller. I want to say the rears are 2.25" or 2.50" wide.
