Just getting back in the forum again after a lenghty absense due to job and household relocation from Louisiana to Houston. Evidently your user names expire after a period of non-use. I tried to use my old login and password but it would not work anymore. Not a problem though I just start from scratch again. I'm in the process of adding a new Ford to the stable. I still have my 2001 Ford Supercrew 4x4 King Ranch and looking to add a 2003 PSD 4X4 Excursion EB this week. The PSD is the reason I'm looking back in the forum again for info on the PSD and the Excursion. It's a high mileage 130K, and first year with the 6.0 PSD which I've found had a rough start with problems. However, I've sent about $100 on inspections including getting the OASIS and Ford Repair Records on the vehicle and it appears to have lived a mild life other than high mileage. No major repairs. Only problems appear to be a few small oil leaks which I've read are common for these motors, especially high mileage ones. I drove it 100+ miles on test drive and it drives good, runs good, and didn't pop up any engine codes or give any tell tail signs of looming problems. I'm really excited about getting this rig if it continues to perform and hold up as well as it has in the last 3 years. Hopefully it is one of the early editions that a born with out any issues. Also, there appears have been no mods to the truck, so it doesn't seem to have suffered any mod abuse as is common on diesels these days.
Anyway I am glad to be back in FTE an look forward to getting a ton of knowledge on the Excursion and good ideas for some mild mods for improved mileage and looks.
