just wanted to know if a 460 and C6 transmission out of a 1986 F-250
4X4 would bolt into my 1977 F-100 4X4 stepside that already has a
worn out 460 in it. The 1986 is a x-cab long bed. This is my first post
and after owning several Ford Trucks over the years I figure its time to
restore/rebuild one. Thanks for your help!

if you have a C6 already in the other truck, it should be a straight swap. Cab or frame n=length don't determine the length of the adapters and such, they just made the driveshaft longer.
