Sonnax install/cleaning question?
I am finally installing the Sonnax kit today and after removing the valve body, it needs to be cleaned. Gray every where, I guess those are fine shavings. The pan looks good but this thing does not. Can I spray with brake cleaner and air off?

yes that is fine, or atleast that is what i would do. make sure to get all the old junk out of the small passageways too, maybe a toothbrush would work. be sure to coat the VB in ATF before installing it so you don't get an remnants of brakekleen in the system.

The instructions that I have for installing the VB suggest to use brake cleaner to clean it out as it is an excellent solvent and will evaporate quickly. That is what I used when i rebuilt the tranny as well.
