The bronco could be back

I got my latest edition of four wheeler mag, and in it was an article on the new bronco. The concept bronco, like I thought, was a hoax! It will look simular to the concept, but have SLA front suspention, a rear soild axle, hose out interior, a lever operated t-case, and removable top. "QUOTE": LIKE THE ORIGINAL, WOULD FOCUS ON FOUR-WHEELABILITY, AND AFFORDABILITY, WHILE ESCHEWING THE LUXURY APPOINTMENTS FOR BACK TO BASICS, RUGGED TRANSPERTATION. They didn't mention engine offerings, but the concepte had a diesel. that would be a good start, then a 4.0, or 3.5 v-6, and top it off with the 4.6 v-8, what do you guys think?

They all do, look at the gto, the camero, also the himie. The bronco needs to come back, ford needs a bare bones 4-wheeler to compete with the wrangler, H3, and such. The best 4x4's that ford makes are the super duty, f-150, and ranger, the rest are just posers for true 4-wheeling.

The main thing for Ford if they bring it back is will it sell. IMO I think it would for one reason an one only it has the bronco name. Theres a huge legion off fans out there fan clubs all over America. It was truly the first SUV made if you want to call it that.

BTW if you have one off the older style broncos today all original in good shape which are very few an far between those things are getting very valuable. Remember OJs famous Bronco where he was on a high speed chase. Who doesnt. Bronco will go down as the Mustang has as one off Dearborns iconic vehicles in legendary status.

There's a market it for it, it may not be a million units a year market. All people has had to choose from is jeeps over the last several years. The trails are still loaded with the old bronco's. The true offroaders of all time were the jeep cj's, bronco, scout, defender 90, and the zuk samuri, because of there small size on tight trails. There's some good 4x4's out there like the land rovers, the H1,2, and 3 hummers, but the only small one is the jeep wrangler. The bronco name alone will sell, but make it a true offroad machine, and it will sell better. The yuppies will buy it for status, and the offroaders will buy it to use it, along with the sportsmen, hunters, fishermen, and such. With a removable top it will appeal to the young folks as well.

i was just talking the other day about why doesn't ford bring out a basic, no luxury 4x4.

to me, it would sell well, not huge units of sells, but a real steady market.

my mom likes suv's, but she doesn't like all the luxury stuff with them, but she couldn't ever find a basic one, since they don't make one. she had to settle for a tahoe.

i think its a great idea. maybe buy one for my wife!
