After putting on a roll pan to the Pro's Pick bed, the bed looked way to tall or long so I went with a custom fabbed bumper instead. I was shortened, boltholes filled, boxed at rear, mounting bolts hidden, and then polished to a fine luster. Of course this meant locating the tail lamps to the sill and fabbing new brackets so that I could tuck the bumper in and under the sill. Sad thing is, after I started fabbing, I see a like idea on the giveaway 56 at NoLimit. Oh well, project TYMNBUX will roll on.https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...&albumid=22437

I also like the idea of the bolts removed and the ends tucked. I really like what Chip Foose did on his truck and incorporated the taillights into the bumper. It does look sweet and your doing a nice job. I'm assuming your using a stainless bumper?
Randy, the rear plate will be mounted on a dropdown hinge activated by a vacuum device so it will drop to the lowered position as long as the engine is running. The issue is no visible plate when parked so I may need to put in a swich. Plan B is an electric antanae or actuator to operate as needed. Both should be simple enuf.
inlow, stainless all around. Anything Foose is awsome.. I actually fabbed up an entire series of faux tail lights in shapes and sizes from polished alum with red paint for the
" lens" and used magnet tape on the back so that I could mount various "lens" to bumper, sill, and even t-gate to see what looked best on this rear. I tried round and oval in 1.5", 2", 2.25" and 2.5" and rectangle in 1x2, 1x3,1.25x3 and 1.25x4 all in various spots and numbers. 4 of the 2.25" rounds in the sill looked cool but too much like vette. If I has a laser I would put truck name into the sill. I will leave the sill un-welded just in case of future upgrade.
