Trailer Marker-Light trouble

Hello all,
I've been reading this great site and finally have something to post about. I've got a 2004 Navigator and I pull a 14' landscape trailer w/ electric brakes. Before I had the Navigator I had an Expedition which I also used to pull the trailer.(the lights worked on the expy) My problem is that the fuse for the side-marker lights keeps blowing. I think this is because the Navigator has the photo-electric auto-lights that go on and off when the light outside changes and the trailer lights also do the same. The brake/turn signals lights and brakes work but those are seperate fuses. I replaced the side-marker fuse and I took the trailer on about 4 trips and the fuse blew again? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Welcome Highridge! Does the fuse blow each time the light's come on and only when the trailer is connected? If so, I'd try to locate a an ohm meter and try to locate a short on the trailer.

P.S. What's your favorite mower?

I don't think it's a short on the trailer becuase my buddy pulls it with his Chevy 2500 and they work fine

My favorite mower? That would have to be my power-trac pt1430, if you could call that a mower
