Bully Dog Chip with Switch

I currently have a Superchips programmer model 1700 with two settings. I am looking at a Bully Dog chip with switch. Are they better than the Superchips? Or am I wasting my time? I am happy with my superchips but am always keeping my eye open for something new. Let me know what you think!!!!!!!!

DP-Tuner would put their tunes on a SCT or a flip chip. I love my PCM after it was programmed by Jody

I'd bet most any chip will have more/better power than a tuner - I know I found a good difference when I went to a TS chip and sold my SCMT.

I don't think you'd be sorry making the change to a flip-chip!!!

If you happen to get a bully-dog flip chip, I'd have the high perfomance flip programed to a high idle of say...1000-1100. I wish I'd have known to do that before I had mine programmed. I do love the chip though. It tow's good and the economy performance flip gets pretty good milage. In extreme, there just is very little need for that much power the way I drive. It's still cool though.

You know how folks feel about the DP chip here. I have a TS 6 Pos $260 to the door. Exact same as Bully Dog. I am quite pleased with it. So far, no complaints.

Of course you never know what you don't know. Since I don't know, I don't care. (Ya gotta think about that a little)

On edit: CAT-man has been there done that and I think he is a straight shooter. Even when his truck floundered on the dyno after his DP and BTS install. Turned out to be something else, but he called it like it was. Now having said that, I know you ditched the TS chip CAT-man, but I'm gonna be looking for a dyno down the road here when I get my stuff together. I gotta know.

I went from a Superchip Chip to a BullyDog 6 pos Chip. I am much more pleased with the bully dog chip. Towing results are just fenominal. The 50Hp tow tune is just as powerful as the superchip, at least by feel, but runs a lot cooler on EGTs, and controls the tranny much better. Certain throttle positions it will lock the T/C, even if you select 2 on the column. That in itself was worth it to me as towing trailer on winding roads, I get the T/C to lock and keep it between 25-35 and it just goes, very nice to have when climbing out of canyons or going up steep winding grades.
