Changing rear leaf springs

I have a broken leaf spring and rusted hangers on a 95 F150 4wd. I bought a new set of springs but when I measure them, they are 1" longer than the original. From research I have done, it appears that there were several different spring lengths, depending upon the load rating.

Will 1" of length make any difference? The springs are supposed to be the same pound capacity as the originals.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks

You should be able to get an inch of movement out of the rear shackle. I've never had this issue, but that seems like a logical thing to try.

if you change both sides you should have no trouble at all.
