Truck ramp capacity
I have a 68 f100 360. I am going to be working on the headers and exhuast pipe. I would like to have more room so i want to use these 10 inch ramps i have. It says the capacity is 6,500 pounds. Is that enough, how much weight is being put on them. How much does my truck weigh.... cus im not in the mood to get crushed. thanks

You will be fine !
There is only going to be TWO wheels on Two different ramps, right?
Check the GVW of your truck That would be the total weight with load.
I bought the black ones ,they are rated a little higher than the red ones.

Like Dennis said it should be OK. 6500 X 2 = 13000 lbs, heavy end of a 4500 lb truck, yep it'll work mathmatically.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 02-Apr-02 AT 03:50 PM (EST)]I bought those new "Plastic" ones that are rated to 12,000-lbs I got them at Wal-Mart for $24.95, however, it says you should never use two pairs on the Front & Back at the same time... Sounds like good advice too me!

Heh heh !
Considering it's almost impossible to be able to do that,I wouls ay it's good advice.
Unless you have a *straight up* hydraulic jack.
If you drive up on one set ,most floor jacks used to get the other end up Pull the vehicle off the first set.Because they jack things up at an angle.
