Talking 05/06 grilles

Some of you have asked for some pictures of my 05/06 grilles that I bought that are cut to fit our older PSD's. A special "thanks" goes to cookie88 as he looked into the problem that I was having about posting pictures. Thanks so much! I see I can only post one picture per post...I have two that are downsized so will make a second post...here goes....

Not too bad. Big improvement over stock.. but I'm going to be swapping the whole front. Too much chrome this way.

I'll try a second one...sooooo, to much chrome? Never thought about...guess thats why the engineers completely changed the front end. I'll be different.

That looks better than I expected it too. Very nice indeed.

There is no such thing as "too much chrome".

I want to do the swap too but in steps. I'm thinking about the bumper and grill first. Then the header and lights. I don't like the painted top bumper so I'm gonna look for one of the ones with the black plastic tops on them.

I've had mine for quite awhile now. I've actually gotten a few comments from other locals that drive superduties about how great the chrome goes together on the frontend. One even asked me where I got the chrome bumper (He thought I had a newer truck).

I like the chrome look on trucks, but with some of these newer models its just ugly. That front end does look pretty sweet though.

What headlights do you have?

Thumbs up LED headlights?

Are those the LED Headlights? If so what color are the LEDs? and how do you like them? Where did you get them from? and do they just plug right up to the stock harness? Sorry for so many questions just trying to decide if I want to get them or just the regular clear ones.

The headlights are made by APC. They are one piece headlights and the fitment is pretty good. More importantly, they have a wide range for adjustment and they are super bright compared to my stock 01 beams which were starting to yellow (reason for the upgrade). I reused all the stock bulbs but since the headlamp housings were clean with mirror reflectors all around the light output is much brighter, the only thing I had to wire up was the LEDs (they are blue in color). There is five on each side. I just tapped into the parking lights. There's more pictures of different angles in my gallery.

That looks sweet! I want to do that now, but I know the damn lazy cops around here will want to break my chops for the blueish lights on the corners.

generalee, the LEDs are pretty small. With the headlights on you barely notice the blue in them. However with the parking lights on, they are pretty obvious. I'll try to get some night shots for you.
