Hey guys i'm new to this forum. been over in the 7.3 diesel forum for a year now but with the 65 f100 that came with the house i bought i thought i would pop in and ask my first question. Here it is, is chiltons ok or should i go with the 1965 3 volume sets on ebay?

chilton will do fine alot of shops use them and ive never had a problem of them but the others may be a better idea if they are factory issue manuals cause they may have a little more info

Chilton's are ok, but nowhere near the indepth that the Ford factory shop manual go into. I have a chiltons manual I bought in 1975 and it covers 65-75 and it has alot of generic pics and info in it. I have to admit that I'm biased as I work for a Ford dealership and have access to alot of shop manuals. If you're going to really dig into your truck with wiring, engine work, etc.. the Ford ones are the only way to fly! It may also depend on budget issues also.
