I picked up a used 2005 F250 XLT V10 in January and have had a problem with the tires losing air pressure. It's a SWR with 18" aluminum wheels and Conti tires. I finally got off my butt and found that 3 of the 4 valve stems are leaking where the stem meets the rim. Has anyone else had this problem? This truck originally came with 17" wheels with BFG's but the previous owner swapped the 18" on. These are all Ford original equipment wheels and tires. Other questions is, do you think this would be covered under warranty even though this wheel/tire wasn't orginally installed on the truck but they are all originally Ford? Love the truck otherwise!
I have had this Problem on one of my Rims. I have 16" Mickey Thompson Rims. To fix this all you need to do is take a wrench and and tighten down the base of the valve stem nut to the rim and no more air leak. Be sure to hold the valve stem tight w/ a pair of pliers. This only took about 1 minute to do.
When he said 18" rims I assumed they were after-market, my bad !
did u forget to read this lol
