Torque cvtr problems
Hi, looking for some advice. I have a 97 F350 Duallie,ext cab with a 7.3 Diesel, that tows a lot. Mostly hauling race car long distances. I've had the trans rebuilt, and since the first rebuildthe torque converter has had several failures where it leaks fluid thrugh the stud holes. The first failure went un-noticed until the truck started slipping. We didn't know the cause of the leak, so trans was overhauled again, and a stock replacement converter installed. About 700 miles later, noticed leak again, got back without trans damage, and found leakage at front of converter. Replaced converter with HD Billet converter, headed for Maryland, and found it leaking again. Has anyone found a cure for these troubles, or is this just a freak thing no-one else has seen?

I have never seen that issue with a BD convertor, can't say I have seen that on any convertor for that matter. Are you sure its not an installation issue, who is putting these in for you?
