JET Ford Module

Below is some text from a site describing it. However, it looks like its more for power torque, thus, MPG would probably go down, right?

JET Ford Module <TABLE border=0><TBODY><TR><TD>The JET Module for Ford/Lincoln/Mercury application optimizes the ignition spark advance, air/fuel ratio, transmission and various other parameters for ultimate power gains. Great for towing and SUV applications as well as all out street performance cars, or your everyday driver, the JET Performance Module can add up to 30 hp to your Ford.

Installs easily in less than 30 miutes.
  • Add Horsepower
  • Add Torque
  • Improve Shift

In the diesel world a few extra ponies means the truck works less to go down the road. I dont know how your truck would act with this module. We have a friend in NM that has one in his 96 chevy 1/2 ton and loves it. That is the extent of my experience. Sorry.

No apologies needed. its good info - thanks.

the truck doesn't have a tach and without that, i can't really tell hows it working so i need to get one of those, then i can try some of these things and know more.

its the same with the large tires i have. i need them to be a little smaller and it would probably need less power to turn them. (the truck came with 33x12.5 16.5 BFG AT knobbies...)
