doesnt wanna start
i have a 1978 f-350 351m dually, and i work on it almost everyday i have a problem with the ignition i believe when you turn the key on theres an alternator light and a seat belt light that come on and tyhen you turn the key and go, but sometimes the key doesnt start it the lights come on but no crankin, could it be my neutral sensor or my solenoid im totally lost in the electrical field anything helps thanks guys

I had a similar problem with the nuetral safety switch when I put a B&M shifter in mine and it would make a click and nothing would happen.
check it to make sure it is in the right spot by holding the ignition on and having someone else wiggle it. It might need replacing.

Is it an auto? Used to drive a '78 F150 auto that would occasionally not start. Had to wiggle the auto shifter, sometimes take it out of gear and put back in park - then it would start. Try that first.
