Just so you know, any O2 sensor that is not a wideband sensor is basically a lightshow and nothing else when hooked up to a air/fuel gauge. Those vacuum pulses are good, that backpressure you added is bad
Back pressure for testing only with those female ended 3" x 18" glass packs, the body was 3/8" smaller than the tips. Yes I would like Wide Band but then it's only another $350 gauge plus what they want for sensors, too rich for my wallet unless I was running a MPI system there goes that money thing again.

I hear you, too much $$ for me too. But Im gonna need one to dyno tune with when Im done turbo'ing the 292. Oh well, thats where all my money goes anyway.
Cool, thanks for the reply, I was just curious. I just found out the hard way that tuning with a basic sensor is almost useless.
I borrowed a Innovate LM-1 and road tuned before installing a AutoMeter's narrow band system. I find it more than a light show, it detected a failing fuel pump before it failed. As long as you stay in the narrow stoichiometric range they work great, all injected cars are controlled by closed loop narrow band systems, can't be that bad as they pass EPA standards.

so basically you are just paying for the name like i already said. flowmasters suck. i heard that a magazine did a test and some stock mufflers outperformed the flowmasters on the dyno.
Well I can't really hold the shop responsible since this was an "under the table" type of job. I knew the manager through a buddy's buddy so to speak. In other words, I got a heck of a deal with all new piping headers back without paying a "through the front door" price. I bought the mufflers (which were brand new) from performance-curve.com through their ebay auction. I e-mailed performance-curve and have not received a response yet, and flowmaster as well. I think I'm just going to have to buy another muffler and have it welded in.
If I have a problem with the exhaust system i'll kick the installer in the a$$ a few times, oops that would be myself. The wife thought (knows) I was insane as I came home with 5 different pairs of mufflers and spent the weekend testing.
