Hey fellow FTE members. I have a situation unfolding. I need a truck trailered from Iowa to Oregon. I bought a 53 Ford F-750 fire truck. The initial intent was to organize a group of FTE members and pull off a well organized, and coordinated relay drive of this truck from Iowa to Redmond, Oregon. The truck was picked up by FTE member monsterbaby on the 13th, and it was taken to his house on a tandem axle gooseneck trailer, pulled by his late model F-250 SD. He was going to help with doing some roadworthiness repairs, and inspections, but has found that it may take too much money, and create too much risk to try and drive it. The truck was not in as good a condition as the seller described. $1200, I can't complain to bad since the Ford body of it is still in very good condition. We are having an issue with weight, it has an added on water tank, and 5 piston pump with Wisconsin 4V engine on the tailboard. You can view the truck in my gallery, and I will be posting the link of some of the loaded photos. I am not rich, and am seeking help from fellow enthusiasts. I can make a payment towards fuel cost prior to getting the truck picked up, and an additional payment upon delivery, but a balance beyond that, I am in need of the opportunity to make payments to the person or persons offering assistance. I've tried posting an add on uship, and yesterdaystractors, and have gooten minimal response, and the responses I have gotten have been in the $2500+ range. I cannot afford that much. Any ideas, or help, or offers, please let me know.
