I have a f-250 highboy (1975) frame with no front axle or springs, and a lowboy (1979) donor truck. from what i can tell, the '79 springs will work on the '75 frame. can anyone confirm this?
Chech the frame width between the two trucks. The highboy may be a bit narrower. Not to say it can't be done, but it may require some spring perch relocating. I know from experience(swapping a post 77.5 bed onto a pre77.5 highboy) the rear frame is different. Not 100 percent sure on the front.

The highboy and lowboys are the same width in the front. The leif springs are the same width and length and front axles and leif springs are interchangeable the only problem you might run into is the front drive shaft. All highboys use a low pinion front end and devorced t-cases and all lowboys use a high pinion front with married t-cases so if you put a lowboy front end into a highboy without a lift you might have front drive shaft to trans cross member problems.
The rear end is a diffrent story highboys use a 2 1/2 wide leif and low boys use a 3 in leif also they are diffrent leignths. The highboy frame is also narrower in width at the back axle by about 4 to 6 inches.
