Flywheel problem
Hi, i just rebuilt a 79 302 for my 1988 truck. I have a vibration around 2300 RPM. I read another thread about the counterbalance difference between the motors, older being 28 onces and newer being 50 ouces. I currently have the 88 flywheel with the 79 Harmonic balancer. Can i change the Harmonic Balancer to the 88 and cure the problem? Do I have to change out the flywheel to a 79? Could you drill or grind off some of the weight on the current flywheel to cure the vibration.
