help

i have a 89 ford ranger the moter blew on it my brother drove it home sop trans was working well i had a mech put a 4.0 out of a mazda well its all installed and the the starter wont turn it over i took the bolts off the flex plate the moter turns so its in the thans did the mech install the convertor in wtrong or what happend reember it was working before the moter was installed
any buddy have a idea what happend

Maybe it's just your starter or the elec connections. (?)

Sounds like the torque converter is binding, like he did not get it seated on the pump shaft right. Pull the trans and check it.

it was the starter not strong enough had to get the one off the 4.0
