Audiophile? How do I know?

I have an '06 xlt with the 6 disc changer. Is it automatically an audiophile setup since it has the changer?

From my understanding the f150's have three stock systems ....single CD, premium 6 cd changer and the audiophile 6 cd changer system. If you have an audiophile system there will be a subwoofer box under the back seat.

Audiophile in additon to the subwoofer, also has a component speaker setup (seperate woofer and tweeter) in the front doors. The system with the 6 cd changer uses single cone speakers and can be improved dramatically by changing them out.

I have the "premium" non audiophile 6- disc and I have the tweeters. That's on an 06 Lariat supercab.

You can try holding in the menu button to see if you get Audiophile display option. I have it, but I did not know for the first 2-3 months I owned my truck. Actually figured it out after reading posts on FTE.
