Welcome to FTE! First, unless your truck has a different engine in it then there should not be a carburetor. Usually when a truck is hard to start in the rain it is because there is moisture in the air. It finds it's way to the engine bay and causes problems.

First thing I would change (because it is cheaper) is the distributor cap. If you want next time it doesn't start pop it off and see if there is moisture inside. If you do end up changing it then change the rotor as well.

Another thing that could be the problem is the spark plug wires get cracks in them. To see if they are good or not wait until it is REALLY dark out. Pop the hood on your truck and start it up. Look under the hood at your spark plugs. If you see sparks from around the wires then they are pretty much done.

Good luck!
