Long time, first time.
I've been a long time post reader, but this is my first time posting here. I thought it was about time. I have read a lot of useful information and have made good use of it when needed. I will start adding my trials, errors, and two cents as I become used to posting on this forum.
My rig: 1985 F-150 4X4, I300-6 w/one barrel feed back carb, 4-speed manual (compound low 1st gear), heavy-duty tow package, 8.8" rear end w/posi 3.08 gears. So far 14mpg combined driving and working on making that better. Oh, and the truck also has the rust package (Lots of road salting up here in NW Wisconsin, the land of ice and snow for half the year). I have had many Fords in the past, and waited around for a while to find the build style of this current truck. I bought it fairly cheap not running great, but some tune-up parts is mostly what it needed to perk up. I will have to become creative to work around it's current rust condition, but will be well worth it.
