How to replace back brakes?

my brakes are worn thin and need replacing. what is the method and do i need to have the rotors (discs) re-surfaced? this is the first brake change and there seems to be no damage to the rotors. thanks for your time.

if the rotors seam ok then don't change them.....leave'em on....it's simple....two bolts hold the calber on....take them off and put new pads on.....then clean the rotor with some brake clener before you put back together.....also while you in there inspect lines exc.....

easy

What kind of condition are the rotors in? If not replaced, I would at least get them resurfaced. A pad slap, in my experiences, have caused the stopping distance to decrease(worsen). But this was also on a F350 DRW dumptruck. The rotors get almost like a "glaze" on them. So at least get them resurfaced.
