[updated:LAST EDITED ON 24-Apr-02 AT 09:43 PM (EST)]Tell me what u all think about this deal on ebay. How about that brand name quality???? here u go
Oh yea, it seems like it would be a great deal if it was just the gasket set. Tell me what u all think......
Go for it! That brand has been around for quite a while and I would have no problem with using that kit. I wouldn't go too high on the bidding because of shipping and the degree of risk on buying something unseen.
Maybe I'm missing something, but why would you be interested in it? That kit is for a 240 or 300 cid inline 6 cylinder. Your sig indicates that you have a 360 cid FE V8. That kit would be useless to you unless you happen to have a straight six somewhere that you are rebuilding.
That said, I have seen some decent deals on ebay. I bought a new-in-the-box (still sealed) Fel-Pro gasket set on ebay for my FE rebuild for about $40, when the best price I could find elsewhere was $60.
Lots of other items sell for ridiculously high prices on ebay, though. You're often bidding against people who don't know that you can get the same thing from local junkyards or machine shops, or at swap meets, for a lot less.
oh reallly??? i saw 68-78 and i figured it was for v8. I dont see any where on there that it says its a inline 6. Oh well i probably wont bid on it know cus it went up a lot.
This kit is used for the following engines and vehicles:
Ford All Models 6-240 (68-72)
Ford Truck All Models 6-240 (68-74)
Ford Truck 6-300 4.9L (68-86):
E 100-350 Vans (68-78)
E 100-350 Vans (79-86) 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton & 1 ton
F 100-350 Pickups (68-78)
F 100-350 Pickups (79-86) 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton & 1 ton
Bronco Full Size (80-86)
"6-240" means a 240 cid 6 cylinder. "6-300" means a 300 cid (4.9L) 6 cylinder. Thus, this kit fits all 68-74 Ford trucks equipped with the 240 cid straight 6, and all 68-86 pickups equipped with the 300 cid straight 6.
