programming remote
i have a 1999 dually superduty and just bought an extra remote control..it says it will recycle after 8 times of on and off..mine recycles at 5 times.can i do two remotes..do you press the buttons in off position..help thank you very much..

That's weird it only takes 5 cycles. But, anyway, the last cycle of the key should end in the "ON" position and stay in the "ON" position until you're done programming ALL remotes, both the new one and all older ones. If you're not quick enough to program them all, then you'll have to shut the ignition switch off, and re-enter the programming mode. It's important to program every controller again. Once you program one, it erases all the previous controllers that aren't entered in that specific programming mode. Once you have programmed all the remotes, turn the ignition off, and you're done.
