what is this

on my 87 f 150 there are black peices of plastic on the floor that separate the carpet and metal getting into my pickup. they are held down by a four screws and do not look very good. i was wandering what anybody has done to replace these or make them look better. they are easy to run wire under for my spaekers and amps, but they look really bad.

Are you talking about the door sills? Ther plastic pieces at the edge of the carpet where the door closes on top of it? If so, I don't know if the Ford dealer will still have them or not. Might check a few of the sponsors above that deal in factory parts. There are a lot of aftermarket ones also.

And there is always checking out the local junkyards to see if you see some there also...

I just replaced mine on the Explorer when I put in new carpet, etc. They were $25 a piece from Ford.
