electric brake wiring

I have a 1986 f-150 I am working on the electric brake wiring. Here is the problem the controller I have has a hydralic line going to it and two wires comeing out of it all is well there. Here is the question I am installing a 7 pin set up there are two wires going to the back from the controller one is hot all the time and one is not where do they need to go on the actuall plug. The plug has numbers 1 thru 7 and colors as well the colors are not any help to me as the color of the wires are white and black and will not match up so what numbers do they go on. I know it is a mater of getting it wired right because it did work until I had to change the female plug cause it got broken and dumb me did not pay attention to the way it was wired. thanks for the help.

This should be in the towing forum, you will get much better responses there.
