Reversing sensor
I'm sure you guys can help with this problem that's driving me nuts!
Since I got my 2003 Escape back from a dealer service......the reversing sensor refuses to work and the warning light goes on every time I change gear, forcing me to push the cancel button twice to turn the darn light off!
Please rescue me from this, I refuse to go back to the dealer and get ripped off.

Most Likely one of your sensors is bad. Also note:They are freaking expensive (((($90.00))))
If you get one, you will need to unplug each sensor, one at a time and try the replacement.
This seems to be the most common problem. If one sensor goes bad the hole system shuts down. A friend on mine has a new MARK LT and I was able to take one of his out and do the process of elimination on my truck. (the other beutiful thing was his truck was still under warranty, if you know what I mean.

sensor removal
The middle 2 are very easy, There may be some tape on the connector you will need to remove. you will see the retainers on the back side. Unrealease the retainer clips and push in on the sensor grom the outside and they will push out.
The outer (Corner ) sensors are a bid of a challenge because you had to reach up in a hole, but they are not that bad.
