New Powerstroke Owner
I'm a new owner of a 2000 F250 crew cab diesel 4x4. I've always owned dodge diesels but got to good of a deal on this ford to pass up. It runs quite a bit different than my cummins have and I'm just wanting to get a feal for how it should run so I'll know of something is the matter with it. Do all powerstrokes make a louder clacking noise and sord of bog down when you get to 55mph? When I say bog down, its not dying, its just not getting up to speed as fast as I want it to. I know its a diesel and my cummins acted similar. Its really then noise that it makes that I'm not used to. I'd almost compare the sound to a exhaust leak. With all that said what is the best programmer and upgrades I can but on the truck. I appreciate all the help.

Welcome to the forum. My '01 doesn't have the symptoms, or characteristics you describe...which admittedly are subjective. It's loud for sure, but so are the Cummins. No bogging at 55. With 4.10 gears mine pulls good, but I usually tow and drive in the 65-75 range.
