Shackle/leaf spring advice
I have gone through most of the threads on this topic. Since the drivers side shackle is rotted my plan is to replace both. If I'm going that far I might as well either replace the leaf springs or have them re-arched (?) and add a leaf at the local spring shop. I don't want to raise or lower it. Just get it back to where it was. I'm sure someone has done this. What are the pro's/con's? I really hadn't planned on spending a fortune on this truck, but it is a truck and I'd like to be able to put more than a bag of kitty litter in the back......any thoughts?

I would just say replace all the spring bushings, bolts and shackle and put it backtogether again. Ill warn you, it doesnt look like a bad job but they can really be a pain in the butt. I had to use the torch on mine. (you'll need lots of beer to. lol) Make sure to use plenty of anti-seize when putting it back together. The springs are up to you though.
