auto choke on 78
Thanks,
Jeff
Look down on the exhaust manifold from above, behind the carburetor, between runners 4 and 5 of the intake manifold, and you will see in the exhaust leg from cylinder 5 a hole that is probably now rusted up, or is plugged up with the remains of the old heat tube. You will probably have to drill it out to get all the stuff out of it. (Or run a #2 Phillips driver down through it if it isn't too bad.) Then you can get the $10 universal fit choke tube kit from the nearest auto parts store that has the Help! line of universal-fit stuff and it will work just fine. Remember to keep the tube as short as possible and be sure to put the woven fiberglass insulation over it to minimize heat loss and get the choke pulled off as soon as possible.
Good luck! Brian
