Tachometer bulbs
Ok, I bought a 4" tach from Princess Auto, and it has 2 small bulbs that are probably the height of your pinky nail, with the thickness of a bic pen ink tube. They're just reg. clear bulbs. I wanna change them or paint them. There is 2 wires leave the tach, a yellow and green, that go to the circuit board.
Can a person cut the wires and put different ones, or should I just go buy some transparent paint ?

Simplest way is to take a Sharpie pen and color them in the color you want. It fades over time and needs touch up, but its cheap.
Can you not unplug the bulb from the socket? If it is the bulb I am thinking of, most auto parts stores have them in different colors now.
