Door Lock Problem

Has anyone had any problems with there door locks. Today I just lost my all door locks and keyless entery. The fuse are fine, now the radio continues to play once you open the door and the door indicator on the dash lites up as if one of the doors is open. Also when you open the door none of the interior lights come on. Anyone had any of these problems.

It sounds like your VSM is on the fritz. You could try disconnecting the batteries to see if it will reset itself, but it may need to be replaced.

VSM= vehicle security module. It's what replaced the GEM module on the 02+ trucks.

Tried disconnecting the batteries and that didn't work. I also tried switching out the relay and that didin't work.

I lost my VSM last year that displayed the same symptoms. The VSM is located on the firewall, just above the transmission hump with 3 multi-connector plugs. It just took a while to totally die rather than all at once like yours. Your old VSM must be scanned by a dealer while connected and then reprogrammed into a new one. I bought one and changed it out myself but the only thing that worked right was the fobs until I had the dealer scan and reprogram.

I seem to have the same problem.. does anyone know what this fix will cost.
Is there any way you can figure out which door it is ??? Does it put out a code..??

COULD ALSO BE THE DOOR SWITCH ON THE DOOR JAMB. Mny have sprayed WD/40 andit has worked again. If the door locks don't all go out at once it is the door lock actuators, which are famous for going out in these trucks. I have had to replace all 4 of mine.
