H as any one used one of those Wagner power painters? Will be painting a couple of rooms this weekend and was hoping i could get some feed back on 1-How good to they work2-Any certain model etc. Any and all help would be great!!!!!
I have a Wagner backpack style power sprayer. It can be used either with a backpack or the regular bottle to hold paint etc.
These are OK but I am not sure I would use any sprayer inside a room. Overspray and fumes are likely to be a problem. I would recommend either a good roller, or my wife and I have painted several homes with a roller that has a paint reservoir in the handle. We bought it at Sears way back and it holds about half a gallon of paint and uses a plunger to keep the paint flowing. Very good and fast for walls. We could basically do one wall without refilling.
Comments on the Wagner powersprayer... They work very nicely for painting large objects where spray mist isn't a big deal. The reason I keep harping on overspray and fumes and mist is that I once painted some wood siding that was about 30 to 50 feet away from my Truck. The mist actually was able to drift onto my truck and leave millions of tiny beads of paint on my truck. So assuming you are in doors, where is that mist going? In your lungs and everywhere else is my guess.
These painters are very noisy, a very loud buzz. They are not precise, in other words you cannot control where the paint goes to a very fine degree, so plan on doing big patches and then using a brush near trim. They work pretty good but be sure to clean the nozzles etc right away after use. Otherwise the paint will gum up the works.
If you do still want to use one of these indoors, mask off or cover anything you don't want paint on and use a good face mask at least.
Hey Jim Thank's for the info.My mistake i wont be using a power sprayer indoors.I Will be using a power roller saw one at Lowes for about $90.00 comes with everything i should need. Thanks
Those power rollers are pretty nice too, but they're quite the pain to clean. Run LOTS of warm water through the thing.

koziol41, I'd save your money and just use a standard roller and tray.
Like bryyce62 said, you'll have to run lots of water through the system to get it clean, where as with a regular roller cover, after you're done, you just toss the cover away.
I have used/owned a couple brands/models. They are great outside and when you plan to use a lot of paint. Due to the clean up time and the amount of paint left in the pump and hose, I will seldom get mine out if I am going to use less than 5 gal.
