Should we all reply with "I don't know" on every post that we know nothing about? Those would be some long worthless threads if we did, but on the upside we all would have high post counts.
i respaonded to your thread, dude, you only put it on yesterday, not everybody checks FTE everyday, work, family, hobbies and general not liking to sit on the computer interferes with this.
but be patient, you have to give a few days at least for some responses, patience!
This is the only reference I can find regarding any hydraulic issues and this is for the '04s...could possibly apply to '03...just guessing that you have an '03 since I had to go look into your profile to try and discover what MY you are referencing.
It helps everyone help you if you post at least the MY you are asking about.
Good luck...
04 F-Series/Excursion Power Steering Noise:
Some trucks may exhibit a moan or grunt noise from the power steering when turning the steering wheel, usually more pronounced on left turns. The noise may sound like it's coming from the steering gear or column. Replace the hydraulic pressure line running from the brake hydroboost to the steering gear, and the return line running from the gear to the cooler. Take care to prevent any debris from entering the hydraulic system.

Sorry to disappoint you.
I replied in the other thread just to get mu post count up.... with "I do not know".
Thanks to those who have an intelligent guess or reply. sorry about not putting enough info about my truck in the post. It is an 03, also the noise happens in the steering and the brake which has me concerned because this is a new noise.
TO THOSE WHO ARE TRYING TO GET YOUR POST COUNT UP OR IF YOU THINK THAT IS WHY IM HEAR .
my 03 f250 has the same leaking sound when pressing brake and after pedal comes back,
it started doing this the last time i had it in 4x4 ,so i'm trying to find out what the cause is ,maybe it has something to do with the vacum system for the hubs,is your truck a 4x4.
You over filled the turn signal fluid in my opinion. I'm just north of you 1.5 hrs on 23, maybe we can get together and take a look. Is your dealer Coughlin Ford in Johnstown?
Maximum4X4,
I think you could be right about the turn signal fluid, but I loaned out my bleeder tool to someone that was trying bleed the fluid out of his beam stretcher.
If you have the tool and the time, I would love to get your opinion. My dealer is'nt Coughlin, but I have been their before.
If you do want to get together pick a time and place. It sounds good to me.
