If you need a truck, jump on it. I've been known to trade a bit, and if it serves my needs, I do it.Both run great, but you will always have little things to do, with both vehicles, I'm sure.
A '91 Skylark for an '86 F-150 4X4? You'll win the swap!
Unless the 'TLC' means major body work (rust) or other work to make it safe for the road (steering, suspension, brakes ect).
Was the 9" rear available for the '86 F-150 4X4? If not, I would look for other mods that may have been performed by a hack mechanic. I'm not saying a mechanic would be a hack for putting a 9" in a truck but, if your trading partner is willing to let a 4X4 go for a FWD car.... just saying.
well i know the guy, he is the type that drives them untill the tags expire then he parks it gets another, the same thing will happen on the buick, the truck needs tags, just have to put the smog pump and a few hoses back on to register it,would anyone have a diagram for the emission system for that year truck, if not would a 88 be the same for the emission system, thanks for all advice i will get it on monday or tuesday,
