Horn Chirp

Hey there,
Does anyone know if it is possible to disable the horn chirp when activating the keyless lock / unlock? Ideally, I would like the lights to still flash but the horn chirp annoys me to no end. This is for an '06 F150 screw.

Yes, it's possible. The dealership will probably have to recode it for you. I had them do mine just last month. It's an ON or OFF deal ... you either have chirps or you don't. But, it IS possible.

Yes, I've done it but don't ask me how, it's been awhile but it is in the owners manual

Thanks for the reply, I'm taking the truck in for the 1st service some time this week so I'll ask the service guys if they can do that for me. By "on or off" do you mean I'll lose the lights flashing as well as the horn chirp?

No, the "on/off" is the chirp only. The flashing lights remain unchanged.

Ya, from what I understand....you hit "lock" once and you get lights, hitting it again you get a "confirmation honk."

You don't have to hit it twice...it locks fine on the first click.
