Shock mount

My 69 F250 broke the front passenger lower shock mount the other day. I haven't had the time to climb up under it, but the shock mounts to the radius arm correct? When I go to the salvage yard, do I need to find an F250 or will all the parts be the same from 67-79? BTW, its a 2wd
Thanks
Aaron

I think it's all the same at least for the perspective of 2wd and 67-71. An interesting note about these shock mounts are that they are rivitted to the radius arm. If you're lucky you'll find one that someone has already converted with bolts and it will be an easy replacement. Getting the rivets out will take some time. the best thing to do is buy/steal/rent a 4" disk grinder. The disks are cheap and grind the two heads off the rivets on the outside of the radius arm (opposite the broken shock mount). Then with a hammer and (I used a sacrifical phillips screwdriver) pound out the rivets. I think a 1 1/2 " 1/2" course thread with a lock washer filled in the bolt holes nicely.I hope this helps and good luck.
