I have a 99 F350 with a 7.3 diesel. I want to put a new filter on it. I bought the 546637 air filter that I hear works great on these trucks but I went to put it on and the hose coming from the turbo was not long enough to reach to the filter. If you could give me some ideas on how to make this work that would be great.
You must have an early '99. My later one reaches just fine. There's a lot of guys that go and get a piece of 22 degree PVC sewer connection and use it for the bridge piece.
Would I have to cut the original hose in half and put the pipe between it? or should I put the bridge more twards the turbo and cut the end off the original?
I used a 4 inch OD piece of stainless. You can use 4 inch exhaust pipe or some use pvc. A slight angle helps position it better. Go from filter to original hose.
