hey guys! i haven't been around in awhile, been really busy.
anyway, i had a flowmaster exhaust put on around easter and man am i happy! i definately feel like i gained a little more hp and about three miles a gallon. i can't believe how awsome it sounds and i've got the pipes coming out at the corners of the bumper with magnaflow, 3" stainless tips and it looks so sick! one of the best benders around here hung it and he tucked the muffler up high enough so you can't see it, really clean.
if anyone here is debating an exhaust, stop and go with flowmaster. its worth the $ and you'll be as happy as me. btw, go with stainless tips, the chrome plated crap rusts out and they'll fall off!
hey first timer here... i was just curious if you have a few pictures of your exhaust because i just bought my truck about 4 days and am looking for a few upgrades.
I got a few pics of mine I'll upload this afternoon when I get home and put them on here for you. Almost the same setup, Flowmaster exhaust, stainless tips, but mine exit right at the back of the bumper.
I've been running Flows on every vehicle I've had for over 15 years. I've never once had a problem out of any of them. When the 07 gets here, its one of the first things that will be done - a true dual setup...
Ok sorry it took so long. The muffler pic is blurry, but you get the point.
The tips are stainless...but I had a little fun off the highway today and it got a bit dirty. I like the mounting, they did a good job, I was very satisfied with the quality. If anybody needs a good muffler shop near Dallas, I got suggestions!
This is the best I can do for an exhaust pic now but I have a single inlet/dual outlet 40 series flowmaster with 3 1/2" Magnaflow stainless tips with the rolled edges
I just got my dual exaust put in... single in, dual out the sides, through a 40-series flowmaster... I'm quite happy with the results... I have to say it does sound best at lower rpms, and gets just a tad ricey at higher rpms when not in gear, but always sounds great during acceleration no matter the rpm. As far as the tips I went with the pencil tips, as I didnt want some oversized tips that looked weird if you could see the actual piping. I'm gonna try to post some pics so you can see how it looks...
