speedometer question speeding 115
i was racing my buddy the other night and my speedometer was reading well past the 85 limit, it was pretty much pointing straight down. would this have any effect on the speedsensor or cable? does my truck have an automatic shut off if i go too fast? sometimes it feels like im not going the speed my sensor says i am. but i did drive a jacked up bronco for quite some time and was use to that speedo (off) and height differences. by the way i beat his new chevy off the line but he eventually took me after we got up to 60. does anyone know how to make the bronco faster in higher gears? i know theyre not racing machines but i cant help but race in a bronco.

also, i was going to get my heads ported out soon and was wondering what kind of increase in power a nice set of worked heads will produce. either that or the gt-40 heads, i would have those ported too. it wouldnt be a problem mounting headers would it, they dont take that much off do they?
