Tires?

Well, on my ’68 F250 4x2 I have 33x12.50Rx16.5 on the rear and 31x10.50Rx16.5 on the front and they don’t rub. They look pretty close though, don’t know how much bigger you could go.

i have a friend who works at a tire shop. He drives a 69 and has another friend who has a 72 that runs 295/50/15 tires on 15x10 wheels.

265/75 R15 on American Racing 5 hole on 5 1/2 pattern 8 1/2 wide with 3 1/2 inch back spacing. Rear looked okay, PITA to remove. Fronts stuck out so I now have American Racing Smoothies 8 inch in the rear with 4 inch back spacing and 255/70 R15. Fronts are 7 inch with 4 inch back spacing and 255/60 R15s. Looks nice, a bit of a rake, little more grunt from stop and if I get a flat I can remove the rears with one jack. The 8 1/2 inch American Racing wheels and Ford caps are for sale cheap! e-mail me www.william40ford@cs.com

You do y'all think I could get 33's on a 71 F100 2WD if I raised the front to level with the back? If so, anyone know of a source for springs?

Tom
