I noticed this cold morning some water dripping from under the automatic transmission. After a little inspecting, it looks like it is coming out of a square tube coming out of the engine or body.
I was just wondering what this was. I can take a picture of it if it helps. I'm not sure why it would be dripping. I thought only the A/C would be dripping from condensation. But that has a very cold device into hot air.
Do you have a sunroof? I don't know the design on the 04, but on the 95-01, the sunroof had four tubes (off each corner) where water would drain if it got past the seal.
Ah, I forgot about the defroster. I will have to check the location of the A/C system. What seems weird is that it looks a drain of some sort, so it was meant to divert the water to this location. I figured it would be easy to identify. I always thought the A/C units would just let the condensation drip from the unit and not be diverted. I'll double check.
This is my friend's Explorer, so I don't know if she was using defrost or not.
