Ok it looks like the prevous owner had a mix of 3/8 and 5/16 fuel line....does anyone know for sure which it should be? Stock everything fuel pump etc.
Bought a new carb got talked into putting in a nice holly that will "bolt right up" sure it will.....anyway need to plumb it up now, need to get appropriate fittings etc....however I noticed a few "splices" in the line....looks to be where it had previously had another tank installed. Running with the original in cab tank currently.
thanks for advice
I'd tell you to go with the size [diameter] of the draw tube coming out of your tank. Then stay consistent with that diameter. That 1/16th" up & down variation will haunt performance nore than having a line slightly big or slightly small the entire way.
Arbitrary diameter changes in flowing fluids cause wierd "hiccups" in flow efficiencies.
Also NO Plastic Fuel Filters or Fuel Lines in your engine bay, steel doesn't melt or burn!
