I am not ed, but I have the same schedule he posted above. Here is an excerpt from his post. Looks to be around lunch time (arrive early and welcome them!)
You need to catch a ride if at all possible. I won't get to see the tour, but I will meet them in TN. Little brothers are good for some things after all.
I printed that off and I think Elk City is about two hours from OKC, I'm not sure because I have never drove there to or from from OKC. I just wanted to make sure, if I can find a ride, I got there a little before they did.
This would be my only chance to see it, and it looks like a very limited chance. Better luck next time I reckon.
OK guys the tour is going GREAT. We are at the dealer for a truck show and lunch. Should be about 11:30 or so. You need to be there or you will miss some NICE trucks! The supernationals give a way truck will also be there.
You can see some video from day 1 and trucks. go to the pickups limited web site. all one word dot you know com
Thanks for the update ed. I have been watching the pickups limited, CTW, and this site. I don't know whats being said in the video, but it looks like a lot of fun. Next year for sure! This year at least meet a lot of FTE members at the show. We will call it a learning year.
See you Thursday (at some point).
A few questions (for next year). Do you drive a certain speed so that everyone can keep up (even us stockers)? What happens if someone in the parade has a break down? You are all traveling a really long ways, and I don't know how much some of these trucks are driven.
Brian. No trucks left behind. We experienced a problem in Kingmen AZ with our trans but after 4 hours behind the auto parts store we were back on the road. Today we stayed with a F1 from northern Calif who broke a roll ping on his distributor and meet a local gear head who opened his shop for repairs. Here's me kicking back in his living room. This has been the best trip ever. We drive the speed limit. 80 or 90.
nice pics ed
Is that maroon one a chebby?
Glad the transmission problem turned out alright!
The give away truck are they driving it or is it on a trailer?
Your going to win it right, make sure they take good care of it.
Take care have fun keep us posted (more detailed descriptions on the pics please)
It was nice meeting you Ed and all of the guys you introduced me too (I can remember some names, but I know I would leave some out). I took a few pictures that can been seen here. I wish I could have gotten pictures of everything, but I didn't. I had a good time talking to you guys. I hope the trip goes fine and you find some cherries.
