I'm sure the gear ratio topic has been posted and replied to to death, but I'm too lazy to look up the strings, so I'm gonna post my own.
I have an '87 Bronco with a 3.55 rear-end and 33" tires. Truck lumbers up steep grades. I'm thinking a 4.10 gear. Too little? What aout a 4.27? Too much? What about changing the front gear too? I have a 3.54 up front. What's available for the front end?
4.10's is about right for that size tire. if you plan to wheel alot or possibly run a larger tire down the road look into 4.56 which will be great for 35's and low for 33's. do you have a 3 speed or 4 speed auto.
